A series of mixed media works by Michael Schwarzer with collaboration pieces by
NYC artist Karin Bruckner; created during the Covid-19 pandemic through early 2025.
While the exhibition itself showcases a sampling of the body of work by Michael, the title “now what !?!” serves as a catalyst for conversation.
A featured print which was created in 2020 by Karin Bruckner @kbmatter depicts this question and Michael came to fixate on it independently this year at the 5 year Covid lockdown anniversary in March.
“now what!?!” seems to be as relevant, or maybe even more so today than then.
Life in general has continued since. For most, lives have gone back to status quo or were never altered much to begin with.
For others, the world changed and is still very much upside down. Even without life altering events such as a pandemic, we sometimes find ourselves at inflection points where we pause and ask ourselves, “Now What!?!” and “Where do I go from here?”
