Marc Safran is a portrait  and travel photographer originally from Brooklyn and now based in Syracuse, New York. His work blends studio precision with documentary intuition, focusing on performers, dancers, and individuals encountered around the world. Safran maintains a dedicated studio in downtown Syracuse and is an active supporter of local and regional arts communities. His images emphasize expression, movement, and the emotional impact of light. He is married to Mary Jumbelic, MD—author and former Onondaga County Chief Medical Examiner—and together they are deeply engaged in cultural, artistic, and humanitarian efforts throughout the region.
